The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is well-known for the safety and security of its people, places, and resources.
They have strictly established rules for infrastructure developments where they require developers to do a security risk assessment before going ahead with the design or construction of any infrastructure.
This process is approved by the government authority of Saudi Arabia called The High Commission for Industrial Security (HCIS) which approves the project.
The HCIS approval requires the following steps:
1. Select HCIS-approved security consultants
2. HCIS Approved consultants will assess your preliminary design and submit in on the portal
3. Then a detailed design is submitted for HCIS approval which is reviewed and submitted by the consultant
4. Finally, Operational readiness documentation is produced by the Installation Contractor and reviewed by the Consultant
Approval of documentation and drawings for Stage 1 through to Stage 3 is required prior to the construction, procurement, or installation of any new security equipment, system, or security infrastructure.
Approval of Stage 4 documentation is required during the commissioning stage of the security system but prior to declaring the facility operational.
